About Leslie Rubin, PhD (she/her)
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety disorders, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and the psychological impact of chronic illness. I have over a decade of clinical experience across private practice, university counseling centers, hospitals, and schools.
My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy with process-based principles, focusing on the specific psychological processes that maintain your symptoms. I also prioritize the therapeutic relationship itself as central to treatment. The quality of our working relationship (trust, collaboration, mutual respect) shapes how effectively we can address what you're dealing with. This includes specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and the Comprehensive Behavioral Model for BFRBs. Treatment is collaborative and individualized. We work together to address your specific symptoms and situation, and I adjust our approach based on what's working and what needs to change.
